Make your child’s road to independence easier with children’s account of OTP banka.

Disposing of funds on the account

By opening such account in HRK you, as a legal representative/custodian, will get a Visa Electron or Mastercard debit card with PIN, and your child will get a children’s card. Withdrawals cannot be made with children’s card, but it can only be used to check the balance at ATMs. Parents/legal representatives/custodians/co-signatories of the account can also use their card to check the balance at ATMs, whilst deposits/withdrawals can be made in branches.

If you opt for a foreign currency account for your child, then you can make deposits and withdrawals solely in branches!

For children under 15 years of age cards are issued free of charge!

Payments to account

Apart from yourself (as a legal representative/ custodian) and the minor holding an ID card, payments to the children’s domestic currency account can be made by grandfathers, grandmothers, aunts or others,
whilst payments to the children’s foreign currency account can be made by legal representatives/custodians, and the minor holding the ID card.

Important information: in case of a withdrawal in excess of HRK 10 thousand per month, a written consent of both parents is required, as well as approval of the court in an non-contentious procedure (in accordance with the Family Act).
