40 projects selected on OTP banka donation tender

Within its program "Green Light for ...  Better Society" OTP banka selected 40 projects on a public tender to award a total of HRK 400,000.

OTP banka had been organizing public donation tenders for the past three years, enabling orgnizations to apply projects in four categories: youth, education and science, preservation of cultural, historical and traditional heritage and environmental protection, humanitarian projects and sports. Hundreds of applications were submitted from all over the Croatia and the commission has chosen 40 projects that have distinguished themselves with quality and clear contribution to society.

In the past four years, OTP banka awarded a total of HRK 1,400,000 through its donations tender for projects aimed at improving quality of life in communities in which it operates. Donations in 2015 were awarded to the following associations, clubs and organizations based in the Republic of Croatia:

In the youth, education and science category:

“St. Filip and Jakov” Elementary School, Sisak Technical School, City of Dubrovnik’s Youth info-center, Zadar City Library, “Homeland Thanksgiving” Elementary School from Knin, High School for Mechanical Engineering and Transport from Varaždin, “Sunshine–Nazareth” Kindergarten from Đakovo and Association for promoting the culture of reading “KAlibra” from Karlovac.

In the preservation and protection of cultural, historical, traditional heritage and environmental protection category:

Osijek Association “Kotlić”, Archeological museum “Narona”, Society for the protection of natural and cultural heritage of the Silba Island, Association of Hungarians in Vukovar, “Propela” Zadar Association, “Siscia Jazz Club” from Sisak, “Vlajter – Ego” Association from Benkovac, “Zadarski tanac” Cultural and Artistic Company, “Paklenica” mountaineering society, “Zrmanja” Ecological Association from Obrovac,  Association of mentally disabled “Joy” from Ploče and Association of the residents of the City of Osijek.

In the humanitarian projects category:

“Milosrđe” Association - Homeless centre Karlovac,  Association of women recovering from breast cancer 'MAMMAE' from Osijek, Institute for Public Health Zadar, Department of Pediatrics of the Zadar General Hospital, Association of patients with multiple sclerosis of the Zadar County, Association “Izvor ljubavi” for children with learning difficulties from Šibenik-Knin County, Center for improving the quality of life SOS from Zagreb, Education centre in Velika Gorica and Association for helping children with special needs and learning difficulties “Osmijeh” from Pleternica.

In the sports category:

“Krka” Rowing Club from Šibenik, Sisak Diving Club, “Orsan” Sailing Club from Dubrovnik, “Jazine” Basketball Club from Zadar, “Arbanasi” Football Club from Zadar, “Kualjska mladost” Association from Kali, “Jug” Swimming Club  Dubrovnik, Mursa-zanatlija Football Club from Osijek, “Zadar” Swimming Club, “Salto” Gymnastic Club from Zadar and Zadar County Sporting Community.

In addition to donation tender, OTP banka also helped students from low income families. In the academic year 2014/2015 OTP banka granted HRK 508,000 for student scholarships through its program ‘Green Light for Knowledge’.

During the last five years, as a part of the project, OTP banka provided more than HRK 3 million in scholarships and other donation for better education conditions and investment in education.
