OTP Bank has signed a share sale and purchase agreement to purchase 100% of Slovenia’s Nova KBM d.d., owned by funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management, Inc. (80%) and EBRD (20%). Despite temporary lock down measures introduced in many countries the operation of OTP Group remained uninterrupted in 1Q. The second Serbian integration has been progressing smoothly and was successfully completed on 30 April 2021. The total volume of 1Q adjustment items represented -HUF 24 billion within the accounting earnings of HUF 93.3 billion (after tax) which is around half of the magnitude of whole year 2020 adjustments. The Council of the Croatian National Bank passed the decision to grant the approval for the appointment of Ivan Šimičević to the position of a member of the Board of OTP banka d.d. Despite the extraordinary challenges triggered by the pandemic, in 2020 the overall operation of the Group remained uninterrupted. It was quite an achievement that out of the previous acquisitions, the Bulgarian integration was completed in early May 2020, as well as the Montenegrin one in December.
