44 project selected at our donations tender

Within its program "Green Light for ... a Better Society" OTP banka selected 44 projects on a public tender to award a total of HRK 400,000.

For the sixth year in a row, OTP banka organized a public tender for donations, enabling organizations to apply with projects in four categories: youth, education and science, preservation of cultural, historical and traditional heritage and environmental protection, humanitarian projects and sports. Nearly 1,300 applications were submitted from all over Croatia and the tender commission has chosen 44 projects according to their quality and clear contribution to society, especially to the community covered by the project.

In the past six years, OTP banka awarded a total of HRK 2.2 million through its donations tenders for projects aimed at improving quality of life in communities in which it operates.

Donations in 2017 were awarded to the following associations, clubs and organizations based in the Republic of Croatia:

In the youth, education and science category: Silvije Strahimir KranjčevićElementary School in Zagreb, Open media group Association in Zagreb, Polytechnic in Šibenik, Librarian Society in Sisak-Moslavina County, Industrial Crafts School in Pula, Electronic and Economic School in Nova Gradiška, Sports and Recreation Association Radonić Živkovići, Privlaka Elementary School, Mate Lovrak Elementary School in Petrinja, Science Factory Association in Samobor, Electro-technical and Transportation School in Osijek and Faculty of Economics Split.

In the preservation and protection of cultural, historical, traditional heritage and environmental protection category: Faculty of Food Technology Osijek, Sports and Recreation Fish Association „Zubatac“ in Zadar, Biotechology Student Association in Rijeka, Ecology Association „Krka“ in Knin, Ivan Kukuljević Elementary School in Sisak, Sali Tourist Board, Tourism Education Revitalization Awareness Association “TERRA” in Šibenik, Drama Studio of Blind and Visually Impaired Persons “New Life” in Zagreb, “Čok” Kindergarten in Tkon, Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra and Underwater Research Association MINA in Pula. 

In the humanitarian projects category: Croatian Mountain Rescue Service – Zadar Station, Association of women treated for breast disease in Sisak, Autism Association in Zadar, Association for Down syndrome in Osijek-Baranja County and City of Osijek, Associations of malignant diseases “Life” in Metković, “Young Againt Hunger” Association in Vinkovci, Diabetic Society in City of Sisak, Mountain and Recreation BlindKlub in Istria County and Disability Organizations Alliance in Osijek-Baranja County.

In the sports category: Water polo club Solaris, Sailboat club „Val“ Šibenik, Triatlon club Zadar, Rowing club „Jadran“ in Zadar, Youth club Split, Table tennis club „Donat“ in Zadar, Athletic Club for Disabled Person „Odisej“ in Kutina, Croatian Cycling Alliance, Sports and Recreation club „Alba“ in Labin, Valleyball club Osijek Jug 2, Youth water polo club „Pošk“ in Split and Youth basketball club „Dražen Petrović“ in Šibenik. 

In addition to donation tender, OTP banka also helped students from low income families within its “Green Light for Knowledge” program. In the academic year 2016/2017 OTP banka granted HRK 500,000 for 77 student scholarships for youth of Zadar, Sisak, Čakovec and Benkovac, Župa dubrovačka, Nuštar and University of Zadar.
