Sunny loan for MSE

Sunny Loan for MSEs is an investment loan intended for purchase and installation of solar systems for the production of heat and power based on the power purchase agreement previously concluded with the Croatian Energy Market Operator (HROTE).

Lending terms and conditions

Loan type and purpose:

  • The loan can be used to finance the elaboration of project documentation, or for other costs connected to purchase and installation of solar systems.

Loan amount: 

  • Loan amount is determined by the amount of investment, and it can range from EUR 5,000 to 150,000 in HRK equivalent. The Bank can finance up to 90% of the total investment (net of VAT), depending on the loan amount and the estimated solvency of the borrower.

Front-end fee*:

  • Front-end fee amounts to 1.5%, but not less than HRK 500.

*if the borrower holds one of the packages intended for MSEs, then up to 100% discount might be applicable

  • Repayment term and manner:

The repayment term is aligned with the term of purchasing of power, as stipulated in the power purchase agreement, and must not exceed 14 years. The loan is repaid in monthly instalments, with the optional grace period of 6 months. The loan is repaid through an earmarked account with OTP banka where all payments for the sold power are deposited and accumulated.


  • The loan proceeds are paid out to the contractor, based on the pro-forma invoices for the delivery, assembling and maintenance.

Security instruments

Loans in amounts of up to EUR 40,000 in HRK equivalent can be backed by the negotiable security instruments (debit notes, bills of exchange) issued by the legal entity or the owner, whilst larger amounts require lien on a real estate, chattel or some other acceptable security instrument (i.e. deposit, state guarantee and similar). Regardless of the loan amount, the receivables of the borrower under the power purchase agreement must be assigned to the Bank.
